Superb 3rd place for Belgian Planet Quad – W-tec Factory rider Jan Vlaeymans in Quaduro Le Touquet.
After 3 years of hard work, Jan Vlaeymans and his team were at last rewarded with a superb podium in the Quaduro Le Touquet 2009. After an average start with 12th place around the first corner, `Flymans' worked his way to the top and had moved in to 2nd by the end of the first hour before completing the second hour in 3rd place, all podium places remaining the same to the end after a perfect race: 1st Romain Couprie, 2nd Jeremy Warnia, 3rd Jan Vlaeymans. With Vlaeymans having finished 2nd in the 2008 Goldspeed European Quad Championship, this result will bolster his confidence and is a good starting point for the new racing season ahead.
This superb 3rd place after professional riders Couprie and Warnia is the crowning glory for all the hard work of the complete team, in particular for Geert Goethals, the mechanic, physical and mental coach, suspension specialist, he does it all...
With at least top 5 finishes in all the sand races of the season, `Flymans' now belongs to a short list of sand specialists.
W-tec were represented in several classifications and took many honours in the Quaduro :
- 3rd overall, 3rd solo and 1st FIM with Jan Vlaeymans
- 2nd womans team in 73rd place with Liebaert/Coppelmans (second year in a row)
- 1st in 250cc class with Bruneel/Aertgeerts (second year in a row)
- Winner `jeune guidon': youngest team in the top 15 with Fournier/Chaudot (third year in a row)
All this would not be possible, however, without the material and financial aid of our valued sponsors : Planet Quad and W-tec have been our loyal sponsors and have supported and believed in us for the past three years, and along with Hebo, Goldspeed, DWT, Nico Cars, Eleven, Tsubaki, Bike Design Benelux, MX-Nation, Ketchonaise Graphics, Golden Tree Hotel, Hotel Academy, Winsol, Tireballs, Racetech, Smith, Re'Action and Quad Deal have helped us put together a winning package.
